Fresh off of his Thursday night performance at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts which featured the likes of The Lumineers, The War & Treaty and Barstool’s president, Dave Portnoy, it seems that Zach Bryan was rumored to make an appearance at the second night of Noah Kahan’s two-show run at Fenway Park this past Saturday.
There’s no concrete information that this collaboration was ever planned; however, rumors have been swirling that the “Something in the Orange” singer missing the Fenway Park performance due to some worrying circumstances.
In a new Deuxmoi blind item, which is essentially a news story curated from anonymous sources that detail celebrity gossip, it was revealed that “a country star was supposed to guest at his friend’s biggest show ever but ended up getting so drunk leading up to it he had to back out.”
While, of course, Bryan and Kahan’s names do not appear in this blind item due to the nature of the format, it’s quite easy to connect the dots. It’s no secret that the two are friends given their multiple live appearances together and most notably, their collaboration on “Sarah’s Place” last year on Bryan’s EP, Boys of Faith. It’s also fairly obvious that Kahan’s back-to-back sold-out shows at Fenway Park are a crowning achievement for the “Stick Season” singer, a Massachusetts resident. However, judging by Bryan’s girlfriend, Brianna LaPaglia’s TikTok minutes ago, it seems like this claim is false.
X, Reddit and TikTok detectives quickly caught wind of this and made some further discoveries. Shortly after the show, it seems that both Bryan and Kahan unfollowed each other on Instagram. While there’s no photographic evidence of the two following each other, it can be inferred that they were due to the fact that both, mainly Kahan, frequently interacted/liked each other’s posts.
With all of that being said, however, LaPagila defended herself and the 28-year-old singer/songwriter on TikTok minutes ago. In the TikTok, she directly addresses the blind item that claimed that Bryan was drunk at the concert, showing texts between the two that seemingly point to Bryan never being at Fenway in the first place.
In the video, she said, “It’s so funny ’cause you guys are always wrong. He didn’t even come to the f*cking concert. You dumba**es, he didn’t even come to the show.”
She also confirmed that he was on vocal rest, “He didn’t come to the show because he did a two-and-a-half-hour set at Gillette, a sold-out, motherf*cking stadium. His voice was fried, and he was going on the longest run of his life the next morning.”
It should be noted that most of this story, at this point, is purely speculative and has little concrete information outside of LaPaglia’s recent TikTok. Neither Bryan nor Kahan has addressed the rumors directly, and judging by LaPaglia’s TikTok, there’s little evidence that points to the aforementioned Deuxmoi blind item being true.
