Imagine going to school on a Monday morning and getting to brag to all your friends that you played guitar at a Treaty Oak concert over the weekend.
That’s some pretty epic street cred for a teenager like Ace Canady, Treaty Oak Revival’s youngest honorary band member. At their show this past Saturday, Feb 14, the little rocker joined the band with his electric guitar for a performance of their 2023 track, “Fishnets.”
Crazy enough, this is Ace’s second show with Treaty Oak and another addition to his growing list of other big shows he’s taken part in alongside artists such as Zach Bryan and Gavin Adcock back in 2024. The South Carolina native was only 12 years old when he started shredding on the guitar after getting lessons from his parents for Christmas.
He first started petitioning for his spot on the stage alongside Treaty Oak last August with a series of TikToks featuring him playing “In Between” and tagging the band, saying, “Day 1 asking to play with Treaty Oak on September 26 in Easley, South Carolina.” It only took him five videos before the band’s manager reached out and confirmed the special guest appearance at their upcoming show.
Not only did he absolutely kill the performance, but he got the full tour experience seen in his recap post, where he’s hanging out backstage with lead singer Sam Canty, signing fans’ arms in the front row, and yes– even participating in whipping beers around during Boomtown. With the bands’ 2026 West Texas Degenerate Tour stopping by Ace’s turf this past weekend, it was only fitting that he joined them once more with his fiery red guitar in hand.
This time around, he had his heart set on playing “Fishnets” off of Treaty Oaks’ second album, Have A Nice Day. Hilariously enough, the text over the video of him playing probably one of Treaty Oak’s craziest songs says, “Related so much with the song had to play it with him.” Along with the pettiest and wildest addition in the caption, “While all 3 of my exes were in the crowd.” Safe to say, he’s already got the attitude and the Sam Canty signature flat-brim hat for all the makings of a future rockstar.
