Garth Brooks’ 2026 slow roll-out of his Blame It All On My Roots Arena tour shows has proven to be a fan-favorite, with “The Dance” singer continuing to add on multiple dates to each stop after fans sell out every one. After announcing his first string of shows in Indiana (which blew up with 400,000 fans in the Ticketmaster queue), followed by last week’s Denver announcement, Garth is now headed to Chicago, Illinois.
He noted that the Windy City was home to one of his favorite venues, sharing in a press release on his website that 12 years ago, Chicago took him in after he was denied the licenses to play his comeback tour in Dublin. Looking to relaunch his first tour in over 16 years, Chicago welcomed him with open arms, becoming the new kickoff spot in 2014 for 11 shows at Allstate Arena.
His wife, Trisha Yearwood, recalls the era as a rejuvenating time in their life, noting, “Call me dramatic, Chicago saved Garth and that tour.” Garth echoed the sentiment, admitting, “I owe that city; we all do on this team. I can’t wait to get there to show the people of Chicago our gratitude and how much we love them.”
Apparently, Chicago reciprocated the love once more when tickets went on sale earlier this morning, with an overwhelming response of fans buying tickets. In lieu of this, Garth is adding on to the previously announced September 11 and 12 shows at Allstate Arena by adding a new opening night show on Thursday, September 10, and a Matinee show on Sunday, September 13.
All four shows are currently on sale on Ticketmaster with a limit of eight tickets per purchase and a flat rate of $153 ($140 ticket price, $3 facility fee, and $10 service charge), plus applicable sales tax, with every seat in the house sold at one fair price.
Garth ended his message noting his appreciation, “Thank you, Chicago, for showing up in a BIG way!!! love, g.” I have a feeling this is only the start of many sold-out cities to soon be announced.
