Have I ever thought about a Treaty Oak Revival X Luke Combs crossover ever in my life? No. But now that the possibility is imminent, I’m gawking at the idea.
Earlier today, the West Texas band shared a performance of them covering Combs’ 13x Platinum-certified mega-hit, “When It Rains It Pours.” Bringing his 2017 track to the stage with the band adding a bit of Treaty Oak flair to the already high-energy song, the cover came as a bit of a shock to fans but already has people begging for a collab.
Luckily for everyone amped up in their comment section, I don’t believe this video clip was just the band goofin’ around during sound check. In their caption, they included tomorrow’s date, “8.13.26,” and tagged the North Carolina superstar.
What’s tomorrow, you might ask? It just so happens to be the end of Combs’ current countdown on his website, leading fans to believe there’s an exciting announcement ready to drop in the morning at 9 am ET.
Playing into the tease, Combs’ official headquarters account also posted a cryptic video of a brief case with a holographic bearded skull sticker yesterday. That same Luke Combs-esque skeleton design has since popped up on many clips on various football stadiums’ social media pages across the country.
With that being said, it’s pretty inevitable that a second round of his highly successful My Kinda Saturday Night tour is on its way. And considering Combs reposted Treaty Oak’s cover to his story, along with similar posts from Avery Anna, Shenandoah and Wyatt McCubbin, I’d say there’s a fair shot that these artists will play a hand in tomorrow’s announcement.
All I know is, now that Treaty Oak and Avery Anna are involved, I wish Combs would’ve dragged out his announcement countdown a little longer and given me some time to prepare my wallet, but what else is new. watch here:
