We need some explanations.
Morgan Wallen is set to close out this year’s Stagecoach, headlining the third and final day of the festival. The 2023 Billboard Artist of the Year is about to get on stage at any moment as of writing, but there’s one catch: the performance isn’t available to stream on Amazon Music and Twitch.
While it sounds like this would be fairly standard given that most festival performances are not live-streamed to the masses, Stagecoach has been streaming the entire festival in partnership with Amazon Music and Twitch throughout the past three days.
Amazon has provided live coverage to each and every one of the headliners including Eric Church, Miranda Lambert, Post Malone and more. However, Morgan Wallen is simply missing from Stagecoach’s Amazon lineup tweet.
To say that fans watching at home are not happy would be an understatement. Users took to the replies to air their grievances.
Instagram users were not happy either. On the same post announcing Stagecoach’s Amazon livestream lineup, the comments were flooded with fans outraged that the “Last Night” singer was not listed on the stream.
There is currently no explanation for Wallen’s absence from Amazon’s livestream event, as both neither Stagecoach or Amazon have released a statement.
Though this is purely speculation, you begin to wonder if Wallen’s recent arrest in Nashville didn’t play a part in his absence from the stream. At the same time, it doesn’t seem like it’s the best move by Amazon from a monetary perspective given that Wallen is not only the biggest artist in country but one of the biggest artists in all of music.
Or Maybe it was Morgan’s choice not to have the set aired due to specific song choices included in the lineup. Either way, guess we’ll find out…
