On April 7, Morgan Wallen made headlines after getting arrested at Eric Church’s Nashville bar, Chief’s, after throwing a chair off of the 6th-story rooftop.

Wallen was charged with three counts of felony assault with a deadly weapon/reckless endangerment and one count of misdemeanor disorderly conduct. His bond was set at $15,250.

The arrest sent waves through the country community resulting in memes being created, insults being thrown at Wallen and t-shirts of the mugshot being printed.

Wallen’s attorney, Worrick Robinson, released a statement to Billboard the morning after, confirming the arrest:

“At 10:53p Sunday evening, Morgan Wallen was arrested in downtown Nashville for reckless endangerment and disorderly conduct. He is cooperating fully with authorities.”

Over the past two weeks, Wallen has kept a relatively low profile and had not yet made a statement on the arrest, only appearing in public a handful of times.

Tonight, however, Wallen took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to clear the air and issue an apology for his actions that night at Church’s bar, saying, “I’m not proud of my behavior, and I accept responsibility.”

I didn't feel right publicly checking in until I made amends with some folks. I’ve touched base with Nashville law enforcement, my family, and the good people at Chief’s. I'm not proud of my behavior, and I accept responsibility.

In a second tweet, Wallen let it be known that he respects the officers who made the arrest and that his One Night at a Time tour is still going on as planned.

I have the utmost respect for the officers working every day to keep us all safe. Regarding my tour, there will be no change. -MW

It should be noted that this isn’t the first time that Wallen has been arrested and issued an apology afterward. Back in 2020, the “Last Night” singer was charged with public intoxication and disorderly conduct in Nashville.

After the first arrest, he said, “We didn’t mean any harm, and we want to say sorry to any bar staff or anyone that was affected.”

Wallen will make his return to the stage after the arrest tomorrow in Oxford, Mississippi.
