One of my favorite Drayton Farley songs. After a three-night run out on the east coast together for the Acoustic Nights Tour earlier this year, Drayton Farley and Sam Barber have once again teamed up to bless our news feeds (and ears) with an incredible performance of Drayton’s 2021 release, “Chewing on Fire.” Drayton is one of the most talented songwriters, not just in the independent/americana scene, but in my opinion, in all of music. While still extremely underrated, 2023 has been a breakout year for the Alabama native. Releasing two projects, including his most recent 5-track EP, Kudzu Wild,…

Ahh, here we go again. We’ve seen a massive increase of internet trolling and sh*t talking from infamous keyboard warriors over the last few years, especially with country music fans. It seems that no matter what most artists do, there’s always a handful of social media users ready to find something to b*tch about and/or post “that’s not real country” in the comments sections. If you aren’t thick-skinned or ready to ignore the “haters,” its something that could drive artists and journalists everywhere crazy. To be fair, country fans have had to endure some pretty shi**y years of pop music…

You love to see it. Earlier in the month, Zach Bryan tweeted out “Who we thinking on the next Belting Bronco?” and the comments were flooded with a ton of amazing artists. Who we thinking on the next Belting Bronco?— Zach Bryan (@zachlanebryan) November 4, 2023 Since Bryan didn’t share the post to his Instagram account, we took the liberty of screenshooting it and sharing it on the Meta platform ourselves, where even more comments rolled in… View this post on Instagram A post shared by Country Chord (@countrychord) Well, just recently a fan tweeted to Zach, asking him if…
With all the talk surrounding Post Malone’s performance alongside Morgan Wallen and HARDY at the CMA’s last night, there were some other incredible moments that shouldn’t get overlooked. Not only did Eric Church make a surprise appearance with Morgan on “Man Made A Bar,” but Alan Jackson also took the stage with Zac Brown Band to honor the late, Jimmy Buffett, with a performance of Margaritaville. It’s fair to point out a few more artists who had memorable performances such as Ashley McBryde and Luke Combs, but one cowboy who ALWAYS shows up and shows out, is Cody Johnson. CoJo…
What a wild night. On Wednesday, November 8th, the CMA Awards aired live from the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, and while there were a couple low points (as any award show has) there were a ton of cool and exciting moments. For starters, Eric Church made a surprise appearance alongside Morgan Wallen to perform their newest single at Country radio, “Man Made A Bar.” Post Malone also joined Morgan and HARDY to honor Joe Diffie with a performance of “Pickup Man,” while also simultaneously releasing it to all streaming services and announcing HIXTAPE Vol 3. On top of that, Lainey…
