Screenshots and links have been posted to social media but when clicked on from here in the States, it says “not available in your country.” It’s possible the announcement is set for Friday and well, it may already be Friday in those countries. They just keep rollin’ in. Today, Morgan Wallen officially earned two new certifications from the RIAA for “Thought You Should Know” (2x platinum) and my personal favorite, “Don’t Think Jesus,” which has now sold a million units, earning itself a single platinum cert. With these two under his belt, Morgan has gained 15 total new certs in just 12 days. Last week, “Me On Whiskey,” “More Surprised Than Me,” “Wonderin’ Bout The Wind,” and his collaboration with Chris Stapleton, “Only Thing That’s Gone,” were all certified platinum, while “More Than My Hometown” went a massive 5x platinum. Almost two weeks ago,…
Throwback. On July 19th, 2008, one of Blake Shelton’s more underrated singles, “Home,” went No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart. The song was originally co-written and released by Michael Buble in 2005 as the first single from his fourth studio album, “It’s Time,” and went on to become a No. 1 hit on the Adult Contemporary chart. Although a cover of an already popular song, Blake’s version, featuring background vocals from ex-wife Miranda Lambert, became a huge success by becoming the fist Country Airplay No. 1 reworking of a pop hit since Mark Chesnutt’s “I Don’t Want To…
Sheryl Crow has entered the chat. Over the past couple of days, Jason Aldean has been trending in the news cycle over his song and music video for “Try That In A Small Town.” Critics and social media warriors (mostly those who just hate his music or disagree with his politics) have been calling the Country singer out for promoting “violent, pro gun” and “racist” lyrics. And as the song has skyrocketed to No. 1 on iTunes, all-genre, it hasn’t stopped more people from commenting on the issue at hand. Sheryl Crow, known for songs such as “If It Makes…

The awards show will be hosted by Little Big Town, with Blake Shelton in attendance to present Toby with the award at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville. “We’re overjoyed to honor legendary artist Toby Keith with the first-ever Country Icon Award,” Cassandra Tryon, senior vice president of entertainment live events for NBCUniversal Television, says. She continues with… “As a talented songwriter and powerhouse performer, Keith has touched the hearts of…
Jason Aldean’s latest single, “Try That In A Small Town” has had critics and social media warriors (mostly those who just hate his music or disagree with his politics) attacking the artist for being “pro-lynching” and “racist.” Just an hour ago, Jason Aldean released a statement addressing the allegations, calling them “meritless” and “dangerous,” as well as saying “there’s not a single lyric in the song that references race.” In the past 24 hours I have been accused of releasing a pro-lynching song (a song that has been out since May) and was subject to the comparison that I (direct…
