Earlier today, Morgan Wallen officially announced he is going on vocal rest for six weeks, rescheduling his upcoming tour dates and cancelling all festival or Award show performances in that timeframe. Jason Aldean will be filling in for Morgan this Wednesday at the sold-out ACM Lifting Lives event in Frisco, Texas, just one day ahead of the 58th Academy of Country Music Awards. The fundraiser-concert, benefiting children’s hospitals, recovering veterans and mental illness recipients, will also feature HARDY, Lainey Wilson, Ernest and Bailey Zimmerman. Rest up Wallen. In the mean time, I think Aldean can handle it.

Well deserved. Even though the award show isn’t until this Thursday night, Zach Bryan has already been declared the winner of ACM’s New Male Artist Of The Year. Up against some other talented newcomers, including Bailey Zimmerman, Ernest, Jackson Dean, Dylan Scott and Nate Smith, the trophy could’ve gone to a few of these guys. However, the insane popularity of Zach Bryan shows that the ACM’s probably got this one right. I’ll be honest, regardless if he had won the award or not, it’s still cool to see someone like Zach Bryan being recognized by these mainstream award shows, even…
Today, Morgan Wallen posted a video on Instagram announcing he has re-injured his vocal chords and has officially canceled all shows within that time-frame. Morgan canceled his show in Oxford, Mississippi, last month after losing his voice, and while he took 10 days off, it appears that wasn’t enough, as he damaged his voice again just three shows later in Florida. “I’ve got some bad news from my doctors at the Vanderbilt Voice Center yesterday. Their advice is that I go on vocal rest for six weeks, so that’s what I’m gonna do. They want me not to talk at all…
One of the greatest to ever do it. 34 years ago, today, one of the most iconic Country singers passed away in his home at the young age of 33. Still new to Country music before his death, Keith Whitley had only released two albums, but hits like “When You Say Nothing At All,” “Don’t Close Your Eyes,” and “I’m No Stranger To The Rain,” as well as his distinct tone, instantly made him a huge star. In 1989, Whitley passed away from alcohol poisoning, with a blood alcohol content of more than 5X the legal limit. At the time…
A few years ago, Luke Combs took to social media to post a cover of Tracy Chapman’s 1988 hit, “Fast Car,” and fans everywhere (including myself) were begging for him to release a studio version, ever since. Combs continued to frequently add the song to his live set-list, only fueling fire to the flame. Fast forward to March of this year, and Combs officially included the cover in his 18-track album, “Gettin’ Old.” Fast Car was just recently sent to U.S. Pop Top 40 and Hot AC Radio as another single off his latest record. As of April 18, the song…
The Rock and Roll Cowboy is BACK. Today (or tonight, depending on when you’re reading this) Jason Aldean officially released a surprise new song, “Tough Crowd.” In February of this year, Aldean announced he was back in the studio recording for his eleventh album and now, it appears we’re finally getting the first taste of the new record. With a caption on social media that reads; “Aldean Army, this one’s for you,” Jason seamlessly takes the time to acknowledge/dedicate and show love to the very people who attend his concerts year after year. Check out “Tough Crowd” below. View this…
