Well, that’s one way to do it. Before he was one of the biggest stars in country music, Luke Combs was just a boy from North Carolina attending Appalachian State University until he dropped out with only 21 credits left until graduation. Luke told Taste Of Country back in 2018; “There was never a plan B. I don’t think that’s a smart thing, but I think that anybody that kind of gets to this point, there really isn’t a plan B.” Luke also discussed his distain for college in an interview with NBC’s Willie Geist: “There was nothing about it…
BIG fan of this guy. This past week, Gabe Lee released a new and fresh “re-imagined” version of his popular song “Eveline.” Four years since it’s original release, Lee wants his fans to: “enjoy this track of an old original, brought brilliantly to life by some of my favorite bluegrass picking buds.” It doesn’t happen often, but I love when artists go back and re-visit deep cuts, or in this case, put out a new string band version of his most well-known (and my personal favorite) debut single. Gabe Lee has an interesting story that you don’t see often in…
Phew, Luke Combs better make more room on the wall if he hangs up his plaques. Today, Luke Combs received 26 new certifications from the RIAA and included in that list is “Beautiful Crazy” going 9x platinum, as well as “Hurricane” and “When It Rains It Pours” both going 8x platinum. To put it into perspective, a gold certification means the single or album pushed 500,000 units and 1 million for each platinum certification. There’s a few artists already having a massive 2023 (cough, Morgan Wallen, cough) but with the release of his fourth studio album right around the corner,…
The album that just keeps on giving… Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you should be well-aware that Morgan Wallen recently dropped his massive 36-song album, “One Thing At A Time.” Since it’s release, Morgan’s album has been breaking records left and right, which shouldn’t be a surprise considering the length of the album, as well as him being arguably the biggest artist in the genre right now. After having the biggest streaming week ever for a Country album, Morgan officially earned his first No. 1 of his career on Billboard’s Hot 100 Chart with “Last Night,” making him…
Limestone kid givin’ the fans what the want. After first debuting the song live on tour all the way back in 2021, Parker McCollum has FINALLY released “Speed,” the fan favorite from his upcoming fourth studio album, “Never Enough.” On this track, Parker sings about rushing things in life, whether wanting to grow up to fast or ruining things with a girl that wanted to take things slow, and memories of his father telling him he “won’t always be hung up on speed.” Parker’s new album featuring “Speed,” as well as “Stoned,” “Handle On You,” and “I Aint going Nowhere,”…
