Country music enthusiast and avid drinker of alcohol. Old Aldean is better than your favorite artist. (except for Zach Top)

The “new era” of PRT continues… Pecos & The Rooftops recently released their latest single, “Last Thing I Remember,” and the music video is officially out now. Once again directed by Wales Toney, who’s also responsible for “Last Night’s Lashes” and the video for the bands massive hit “This Damn Song,” the music video depicts a couple in a toxic (and potentially abusive) relationship, with the main focus seemingly put on the guy. Last Thing I Remember was written by frontman Pecos Hurley, as well as Andrew Baylis and Michael Whitworth, and is the second single since the band signed…

Phew, it just doesn’t quit. On top of recently surpassing Taylor Swift to become the artist with the most weeks at No. 1 on the billboard 200 chart this decade (21 weeks), Morgan Wallen’s “Last Night” has now become the longest running No. 1 Country song in history on Billboard’s Hot 100, surpassing “Lady” by Kenny Rogers from 1980. Spending it’s 7th week at the top spot, “Last Night” also tops the Country Airplay chart for a third week, having become the first track to top the Hot 100 and Country Airplay simultaneously. The “Down Home” singer, 37, has denied all allegations, yet admitted to having a consensual, sexual relationship with his former manager. She also stated that Allen’s management team was aware of the abuse but kept the pair working together anyway. Allen’s initial formal response to the allegations included this… I acknowledge…

As someone with a diverse music taste, especially when it comes to Country music, I’ve found that it’s still easier to discuss what I don’t like within the genre, rather than what I do like. When approached with the question, “What type of Country do you listen to?”, 90’s (of course) always comes to mind, as well as the Texas music scene. But then my brain goes “Oh! I like this as well,” and then I find myself on a 3-minute spiel about this project from this artist and so on. Maybe it just boils down to the fact that…

Crankin’ em out. After recently releasing his new 36 song album “One Thing At A Time,” Morgan Wallen is keepin’ things rollin’ and sporadically dropping performance videos on Youtube featuring brand new tracks off said record. He recently posted acoustic videos for “Dying Man,” “Keith Whitley,” as well as “Last Night,” and now today, he dropped “Me + All Your Reasons.” Written by Wallen, along with Ernest, Ashley Gorley and Ryan Vojtesak, the song isn’t something I’ve personally listened to a whole lot, if I’m being honest, but it’s pretty damn good. I’m sure there are many more videos to come, given…
