Things move fast in country music these days. Some of the biggest artists on the planet today were simply underground just a few years ago. Platforms such as TikTok and streaming have allowed for artists to go from virtual unknowns to headlining acts overnight. With that said, here are a few artists primed to break out in a big way this year. Long live Lynyrd Skynyrd. On Saturday Whiskey Myers shared a clip to Instagram from a recent show in which they covered the Lynyrd Skynyrd deep cut “Things Goin’ On.” The clip featured no frills or introduction beyond a simple caption that read “Just a little Skynyrd for y’all.” The song choice is interesting, as it is not one of Skynyrd’s more well known. His single “Last Night” was the best streaming song, regardless of genre, on multiple platforms this year, his “One Thing At A Time” Tour was by far the highest grossing country tour of the year, and it seems like every day he’s racking up new RIAA certifications. All that means you, and probably everyone you know, has heard Wallen’s music, and more specifically his latest album One Thing At A Time. If you’ve given the album a listen you might’ve noticed a familiar…

What a combo. On Friday Parker McCollum played the second of two shows at The Chelsea in Las Vegas, and he had a surprise in store for a crowd that likely included plenty of NFR visitors. In a TikTok that captured the moment, Parker brought out Koe Wetzel to perform the pair’s popular song, “Love.” The track was released on Koe’s Noise Complaint record from way back in 2016, and although the duo have toured together in the past, Parker mentioned that he hasn’t played the song live in over four years. Prior to Koe coming out, Parker interacted with…
