What a start to Inauguration Day.

On a frigid morning in our nation’s capital that required the inauguration to take place inside the US Capitol for just the fourth time in history, President Trump was sworn in as the 47th president of the United States. After both Trump and Vice President Vance were sworn into office, none other than eight-time Grammy winner, Carrie Underwood, was called upon to deliver a performance of “America The Beautiful.”

After an incredible amount of controversy after being confirmed as a performer at Trump’s inauguration, Underwood delivered a stunning a capella rendition of the historic song.

It seems as if Underwood was supposed to be backed by instrumentals during her performance, however, the backing track would not play due to technical difficulties. This prompted Underwood to tell Capitol staffers, “[I’ll] just sing it” before asking the crowd, “If you know the words, help me out here.”

The “Before He Cheats” singer knocked the performance out of the park in brilliant fashion, made even more impressive given the fact that she had to adjust the performance on the fly.

X, formerly known as Twitter, was absolutely blown away by the performance with many users referencing Bill O’Reily’s infamous quote, “F*ck it, we’ll do it live,” to describe Underwood’s quick adjustment.

Carrie Underwood literally just did a "f*** it, we'll do it live" and starting singing a cappella.

That's what I'm talking about. Love thei spirit of that.
