For fans of Riley Green or the latest Taylor Sheridan hit show, Marshals, the country music star’s acting debut is now just less than a week away.
Green is set to make his first appearance on the show this upcoming Sunday, April 19, as his on-screen former Navy SEAL character, Garrett. Of course, putting his singing chops to good use, the Alabama native will also perform a previously unreleased track during his four-episode stint.
Green first got acquainted with fellow co-star Luke Grimes while bonding over the Yellowstone actors’ plunge into the music scene with his newly released debut album. During a writing session, the “Duckman” mentioned his itch to take on an acting role, and Grimes quickly jumped at the opportunity to get Green on his newly erected spinoff series, where he returned as the lead, Kayce Dutton.
Now on the show, Grimes helps Green’s character work through his troubled past. The duo has formed quite a symbiotic relationship via this trade-off, with Grimes telling USA Today that Green, “absolutely crushes it” in his first role. Green echoed this, stating, “It’s exciting that I can help him out in some small way. He’s obviously helped me out quite a bit on my acting career.”
The USA Today Instagram also gave a first look glimpse into Green’s scenes on the show, backed by the gorgeous scenery of the Utah set, along with a clip showing him at a campfire session strumming his song, “My Way.” Originally posted back in June 2025 in an acoustic video on social media, this track could mark Green’s first solo release since the August 2025 release of the Deluxe version of Don’t Mind If I Do.
Unfortunately, the 37-year-olds’ singing scenes won’t be featured until the April 26 episode, but fans can tune in next Sunday at 8 PM ET/PT on CBS to see how his plot unfolds.
