After suffering a heart attack nearly two weeks ago following his performance at Dierks Bentley’s Whiskey Row in Gilbert, Arizona, Colt Ford remains in the Intensive Care Unit at a hospital in a Scottsdale, Arizona.
Golf Channel analyst Charlie Rymer shared an update on Twitter last week, adding that the 53 year-old country-rapper’s chances of survival were originally “grim.”
Hey everybody. News keeps getting better on @coltford All the prayers are appreciated and working. Odds of survival were grim. Now….He’s making great progress and doing better by the minute. Please keep Colt and his family in your prayers.

While Colt (whose real name is Jason Brown), remains in the ICU, his condition is slowly but steadily improving, according to a rep from his record label.
Due to current circumstances, Ford’s scheduled tour dates through August 31st have been canceled, with the exception of four rescheduled shows. Refunds are now available at the point of purchase. Previously purchased tickets will be honored for the rescheduled dates.
Ford has been releasing music for almost two decades and is best known for co-writing and originally recording Jason Aldean’s massive hit, “Dirt Road Anthem,” alongside Brantley Gilbert, which has currently garnered over 927 million worldwide streams.
At this time, Ford’s family is requesting privacy and appreciates fans’ continued thoughts and prayers.
