We’ve been waiting on this one.
On Thursday, Conner Smith officially announced that his debut album Smoky Mountains will be arriving January 26th, and the album’s title track will be out on all streaming platforms this Friday. In his social media posts, Smith also released the track list for the record.
Country music fans have been waiting on this announcement for some time. Smith shot onto the scene in late 2021 when his ode to Tennessee Football “I Hate Alabama” went viral on TikTok. The song caught the attention of football and country fans alike, ultimately leading to his signing with Valory Music label. He released an EP titled Didn’t Go Too Far in January of 2022, but this is the first official announcement of a full length album.
The track list features several previously released songs, including the aforementioned, “I Hate Alabama,” and the well received “Creek Will Rise“. The record also includes a feature from fellow up-and-comer Hailey Whitters titled “Roulette On the Heart”. Interestingly, the track list does not show a feature from Ryan Hurd on the song “Take It Slow”, even though Hurd appeared on the acoustic release in 2022 and has writing credits on the song.
Last Month, Smith announced his headlining “Creek Will Rise” tour that is set to kick off in Athens, Georgia on Thursday. The tour features support from Lauren Watkins and John Morgan.
