Keepin’ the tradition alive.
Today Oklahoma native, Corey Kent, announced he’s releasing a new 9-track project titled “23,” right after Christmas and just before the new year.
Dropping on December 28th, 23 is a follow up to “22″ and “21,” marking the third year in a row that Kent has released something special to his fans around this time.
All nine tracks will be stripped-back and were recorded in one take, with Kent adding a few more details to his instagram post:
“No producer. No band. Just a man, his guitar, and wooden chair in a studio down the road from his home in TX. You can presave it now at the link in the bio.”
The announcement is accompanied by the release of “Southeast Oklahoma Pines,” a love letter that pays homage to his hometown of Broken Bow, and reminds him that when life gets difficult, being home brings him peace.
Earlier this year, Corey released his major-label debut studio album, “Blacktop,” featuring his massive #1 hit, “Wild As Her.” The track went absolutely viral on the internet, helping to land him an opening gig on Jason Aldean’s “Highway Desperado” tour, and has now racked up over 140 million streams on Spotify alone.
