Ella Langley is amping up to give fans the ultimate spring season of rejuvenation with the release of her album, Dandelion.
With the official drop date, April 10, just a little over 5 weeks away, Langley has already promised that the flourishing theme of this project will be a completely healing new era following her subsequent 2024 album hungover and its 2023 predecessor, Excuse The Mess.
Besides this album’s imagery of a carefree weed whispering away in a warm breeze, Langley has also previously noted the analogy that dandelion root tea is a staple hangover cure (fitting for this transition between albums). With three songs already released from the 18-track project, including its title track, “Be Her,” and the highly successful “Choosin’ Texas,” the 26-year-old singer-songwriter has already created some massive boots to fill for herself.
Given her rampant rise as one of the prominent female names in country music, let alone as one of the most successful new artists overall, this album has become one of the most highly anticipated projects of 2026. Most of this hype can probably be attributed to the monumental rise to the top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart with her single “Choosin Texas.” This week marks her second non-consecutive week reigning at spot number one, a feat that is almost unheard of for a female country artist.
To discuss this insane triumph in her career and, of course, the upcoming album, Langley sat down with Audacy radio host Katie Neal for her show Katie & Company. While discussing the record’s numerous vibey songs to come, Langley teased that one unreleased track titled “Loving Life Again” is slated to be the next released single.
She says the song, which she has previously played live at a few shows, stemmed from her mental health break that she publicly announced back in August 2025. She tells Neal, “There’s another song that’s coming out on the record that might or might not be the next single.” She then goes on to detail how the title came about, saying, “It’s called ‘Loving Life Again.’ That song is all about, I took some time off last year cause I had to. I was just it’s too much. It got too much. This job became too much. It became more important than me, more important than my health, more important than the human version of me.”
She then goes on to say that following the cancellation of her August shows to focus on remedying her mental exhaustion, two of her backbone supporters were her fellow writing collaborators, Ernest and Miranda Lambert. “I came back from that little break, and I was hanging out with my friend Ernest, and he asked how I was doing. He was somebody I talked to a lot about my mental health. Him and Miranda were my two last years, really.” She then realized the lightbulb moment when she responded to Ernest’s question, “But I said you know, and just like that, I’m back to loving life again.”
Langley noted that this seamless ease in creating each track was a common theme and a big part of the album’s kismet construction in her eyes. “The song just kinda fell out. We took it to a write the next week with Devin Dawson and finished it there, and the whole record is like. It just genuinely were titles or songs that I didn’t push for any of these songs to be written.”
Langley’s been playing the melodic slow jam song since late 2025, and based on her acoustic performances in the past, it sounds like it’s bound to be an airy, wild spirit addition to her discography. The track focuses on finding oneself again through the simple pleasures in life, with the pre-chorus and chorus singing, “When days are long, I drift away. I play that song I used to play. When skies are always summertime blue, and just like that, I’m back to lovin’ life again.”
While Langley didn’t officially confirm if it would be released as a single before or after the album’s drop, I can already tell it’ll be the perfect tune to listen to as soon as the first warm spring day cracks this season, beckoning a carefree drive with your hand out the window. With that being said, Ella, please release this ASAP so I have a reason to love life again.
Based on her previous performances, it’s also bound to be another staple on the Dandelion tour, which will kickstart on May 7 in Toledo, Ohio, and continue throughout the summer, wrapping up on August 15 in Fort Worth, Texas. Joining her on the 16 stops across the United States are rising artists, including Kameron Marlowe, Dylan Marlowe, Kaitlin Butts, Gabriella Rose, and Laci Kaye Booth.
