Gary LeVox Calls Out Eric Church For Giving Wrong Explanation For Why He Was Fired From Rascal Flatts Tour

    Gotta love the internet.

Back in 2006, then opening-act, Eric Church, was kicked off of the Rascal Flatts‘ “Me and My Gang Tour” for consistently playing past his allotted time-slot. The band apparently attempted to reason with Chief by offering to give him an earlier start time, while also adding 12 minutes to his set:

“We sat him down in our dressing room and were like, ‘We’ll put you on early so you can play longer. But please, just be off the stage because we still have to do our show.”

Well, Church did things his own way back then and decided to still not listen…

His last show with the trio was at Madison Square Garden in New York City after he played 20 minutes over, resulting in Rascal Flatts being fined thousands of dollars. In a recent interview with Esquire, Eric Church briefly touched on why he thought he was kicked off the tour 17 years ago, saying this:

“Early on in our career, we opened for a band named Rascal flatts. Horrible match, horrible combination.… We didn’t do things exactly like we were supposed to. We played too long, we were a little loud, we were a little rowdy. Lot of rules and I broke ’em, all of ’em.“

Rascal Flatts’ lead singer, Gary Levox, then poked fun and responded to that interview clip on Tiktok, saying;“Wasn’t that you were too loud or too rowdy, you just played too long.”

A user on Tiktok commented “Probably because he was trying to save the people from your ‘music,'” to which Gary had probably one of the best responses to an internet troll I’ve seen yet…”Ur mom liked it.“

(Yes, Gary, all of our moms did, in fact, like it). Watch the video here:

Eric Church is a jerk. Ruins what could be a good experience with his arrogance.

Eric Church ain’t shit and is way over rated! He’s a wanna be Outlaw Country artist but wouldn’t make a pimple on Waylon Jennings’ or Travis Tritt’s ass! Meanwhile, Rascal Flatts are some of the most upstanding people in the industry!

Eric Church is amazing. He doesn’t need to open for anybody now so he can do it his way!
