“I need to be honest with everyone for a second.”
Earlier today, HARDY took to social media to open up with fans about the state of his mental health over the last year.
In his lengthy statement posted to Instagram, HARDY shared that he’s been dealing with serious anxiety and panic attacks ever since his tour bus ran off the road last October, resulting in significant and life-threatening injuries to all four passengers.
A Tennessee Highway Patrol report said the bus was traveling westbound on I-40 near the Wilson and Davidson counties border when it went off the road, overturning on its left side.
Tanner Gallagher, HARDY’s photographer and a passenger of the bus the night it crashed, later released a statement saying the bus flipped over at nearly 70 mph and that everyone was left unconscious.
“Within what felt like 3 seconds, our bodies were thrown across the room knocking us all unconscious. By the grace of God, we all survived. My injuries included a shattered foot, a punctured lung, 4 broken ribs, and a fractured vertebrae in my neck.”
“I was told numerous times by doctors that it was a miracle that we survived”
While it’s now been exactly a year since the incident, the country-rock singer is finally opening up and admitting that he’s still healing from what took place:
“I need to be honest with everyone for a second. I’ve been dealing with some serious anxiety since the bus accident last year and over the last two weeks, it has taken total control of my life.
“It’s caused me to suffer many panic attacks which have landed me in the hospital. I need a moment to focus on me and to make myself better for my wife, family and you, the fans.“
