In an age where it seems like the next country star is just a scroll away online, Hudson Westbrook has proven time and time again that he has all it takes to make it big in the genre. With massive streaming numbers (over 5.5 million monthly listeners on Spotify alone), a dedicated fanbase that grows seemingly by the minute and a timeless sound that’s unbothered by current trends, Westbrook can only be described as a budding superstar.
Ever since scoring early buzz with the release of “Two Way Drive” last summer, it was only a matter of time until the Texas native signed a major label record deal, and it was finally made official last night in Nashville.
Last night at Whiskey Jam’s River House Artist takeover, it was officially announced that the 20-year-old singer/songwriter has signed his first-ever record deal with River House Artists/Warner Records.
With the signing, the “Sober” singer joins Warner Music Nashville’s all-star cast of artists, which includes the likes of Cody Johnson, Kenny Chesney, Randy Travis, Ashley McBryde, Gavin Adcock, Bailey Zimmerman, Dan + Shay and more.
Additionally, Westbrook joins the likes of Billy Strings, Austin Snell, Grant Gilbert and Reid Haughton at River House.
This announcement comes on the heels of the incredible success of “House Again,” which not only received a re-release featuring Miranda Lambert but also secured Westbrook his first-ever gold record on May 16th. The single was also the third-most added song on country radio this week with 28 adds across the country, beating out the likes of veteran artists such as Cole Swindell and Scotty McCreery.
Westbrook recently announced the release of his debut album, Texas Forever, which is slated for a July 25th release, features 17 tracks including viral hits such as the aforementioned “House Again” as well as “Sober” and “Mine Tomorrow.”
