As mentioned, Aldean has been a longtime partner with the Macon Children’s Hospital and has performed multiple benefit concerts to raise money for the hospital. Most notably, the “You Make It Easy” singer raised over $700,000 dollars in 2017 when he performed alongside Luke Combs.
In a TikTok posted by Georgia native, Ian Brown, it was revealed that Aldean had, in fact, raised the $618,393 as well as his motivation to continue raising money for the hospital, “One of the reasons I got involved with this is that I’m from here. I got four kids of my own… If I was living here, I would want to know that I had somewhere to take my kids if something was wrong and they were sick and not have to go to Atlanta or somewhere like that. That, to me, is the only reason we do this.”
Aldean would go on to praise the hospital and the work they’re doing, “I got a chance to go to the hospital today [and] see all the amazing work they’ve done over there since I was here last time. It is incredible, and I’m really proud of everything they’ve done.”
The 44-year-old singer then brought out two of his kids to present the check and reveal the $618,393 raised for Beverly Knight Olson.
After the check was revealed, Aldean finished by thanking all of the donors, “You guys are the ones that make it possible. We appreciate it, and that’s why we’re here. Thank you guys very very much.”
