Just days after surviving an assassination attempt at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, former president and current Republican nominee, Donald Trump, made his return to the public during this year’s Republican National Convention in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Tonight, just hours before his highly-anticipated speech, none other than Jason Aldean has been spotted sitting right next to the former president, along with his wife Brittany, during the last night of the convention.
It should come as no surprise given that Aldean has been a vocal supporter of Trump throughout the years, being seen with him on numerous occasions and most famously spending New Year’s Eve together with his wife, Brittany, in 2022.
Trump was also notably an active supporter of the 47-year-old singer/songwriter’s highly controversial #1 hit, “Try That In a Small Town,” back in 2023. He defended the song during the peak of its controversy, saying, “Jason Aldean is a fantastic guy who just came out with a great new song. Support Jason all the way. MAGA!!!”
Over the weekend, after the assassination attempt, Aldean dedicated “Try That In a Small Town” to Trump at a concert in Nashville. In a speech before the song, he said, “President Trump’s a friend of mine so I want to send this next song out to him. We all know what’s going to happen come November, so it’s all good,” Just goes to show you there’s a lot of bullshit in the world, and that’s kind of what this song right here was about, so this one goes out to the pres.”
He would later take to Instagram to post the now-iconic picture of the former president, bloodied, raising his fist in the air with the caption, “This is what a Warrior looks like! This is MY guy. We are thinking about u and praying for you and your family. God has a bigger plan for you my friend and I think we all know what that is by now. My heart goes out to the victims families as well. They are the ones left to pick up the pieces of this cowardly act.”
