Jelly Roll Officially “Disinvited” From Performing At Mar-A-Lago Police Fundraiser Festival Following Jimmy Kimmel Appearance: “This Isn’t About Politics”

A few weeks ago, it seemed like there was barely a handful of people left who actually liked Jelly Roll, but following his Jimmy Kimmel hosting stint, I think he may have just crushed whatever support he had left.

2026 has truly become the year of “Jelly Roll fatigue,” with his questionable setlist cover song choices, way-too-public divorce details, and rumors of low ticket sales dominating the conversation online. Unfortunately for Jelly Roll, his takeover of the late-night show while filling in for Kimmel a couple of weeks ago only added more fuel to the fire, sending the internet into full-blown hate mode.

Thanks to numerous jabs and jokes at President Donald Trump, the 41-year-old rapper-turned-singer has pretty much alienated himself from any conservative-leaning fans as a whole. He tipped things off, lending some health-conscious advice to Donald Trump as a fellow “fat pig,” letting him know that a little weight loss might be handy in aiding the president to “see your p*nis again.”

Of course, the following night he offered a PR explanation letting fans know he was going to try “harder to love my neighbor,” but it didn’t necessarily help his case:

As expected, many fans (and politicians) have voiced their disdain for his remarks throughout the week, leading one festival to go on a now-viral rant about how they were disinviting the “Save Me” singer from their event. Event organizers of the Big Blue Bash at Mar-a-Lago (aka Trump’s privately owned island and estate) posted a lengthy warning to Jelly Roll, formally known as Jason DeFord, letting him know that he was no longer welcome at the annual event.

Set to take place this upcoming November in support of the Federal Law Enforcement Officers Foundation, Kyle S. Reyes, the man behind the event and the official Blue Lives Matter Twitter account, took to social media following the Kimmel debacle, letting him know in very Trump fashion, “We’re DONE. You’re FIRED.” Apparently, the formal invitation sent back in April from the organization-led event asking Jelly Roll to perform at the Bash was a “mistake,” and they have since clarified, “we’re formally withdrawing the invitation for Jelly Roll.”

Reyes went on to explain how his Christian morals did not align with what he had seen on the late night show, stating that his fans may not extend him a second chance, “what he really needs to seek now isn’t forgiveness from President Trump or those who he attacked… but rather from the very God whom he snubbed his nose at while trying to boost his ratings.” He goes on to encourage Jelly Roll to open up his bible again, doubling down, “This isn’t about politics. This is about knowing who you are as a man. And you have much to learn.”

We're DONE. You're FIRED. On April 26, 2026, we made the mistake of sending a formal invitation to country artist Jelly Roll Roll to perform at this year's Second Annual Big Blue Bash at Mar-A-Lago, the home of President Trump.

Now, whether Jelly Roll ever had even a sliver of intent to perform at the upcoming event is unclear. However, I fear any opportunity for future invitations to perform at similar events may officially be out the window. As for his replacement, the @bluelivesmtr account shared an update with attendees, announcing that Texas artist Coffey Anderson will take the stage. Following in the footsteps of last year’s performer, Aaron Lewis, Anderson will close out the gala with a worship session.
