‘Bout to be one helluva summer.
Today, Kenny Chesney officially announced he’s hittin’ the road next year on the “Sun Goes Down” tour.
Kickin’ off in Tampa, Florida at the Raymond James Stadium on April 20th, the tour will run all the way through August and feature Megan Moroney, Zac Brown Band and Uncle Kracker.
Given the name of the tour and their duet from back in 2004, it only seems fitting to have Uncle Kracker be apart the supporting cast.
“When The Sun Goes Down,” written by Brett James, spent five weeks at #1 and was one of the biggest songs of the summer that year. It was also Uncle Kracker’s first appearance on the country music charts, his next one being “Smile.”
On his official Instagram announcement post, Kenny captioned it with this message:
“‘When the Sun Goes Down’ captured a vibe and a moment so perfectly. No matter how much fun you’re having all day long, ‘everything gets hotter when the sun goes down.’
I know from years of experience that’s true. So I can’t wait to get back out there in stadiums across the country with @zacbrownband, @megmoroney and @unclekracker for the Sun Goes Down 2024 Stadium Tour. There’s nothing like 60,000 members of @noshoesnation singing these songs… It’s gonna be awesome. “
Pre-sale for No Shoes Nation members begins on November 13th. Tickets for the general public go on sale on Friday, November 17th.
