As the countdown continues toward the tenth anniversary of his infamous arrest that inspired his hit song “February 28, 2016,” Koe Wetzel has given fans the ultimate celebration gift.
Starting Monday, Wetzel has been teasing the unofficial holiday with a series of exciting releases, including an official storytime on Monday, a compilation of cover songs from various artists on Tuesday, and two upcoming shows at his bar in Houston and Fort Worth on February 26 and February 28. Continuing the pattern, the “Sweet Dreams” singer revealed last night that he has a new album on the way, The Night Champion, along with a 2026 world tour.
As promised, he officially announced the dates of his headlining 2026 The Night Champion World Tour this morning, starting up on July 23 in Nampa, Idaho. The tour will make its way across the states, ending with a return to his Texas roots in true Wetzel dive bar performance fashion at Cook’s Garage in Lubbock, Texas, on October 30. Before these dates, the outlaw country singer has six stops internationally, with three shows in Australia on May 3, 5, and 9. He’ll also hit three shows in Canada on July 8, 10, and 11.
Joining him on the road is an incredible lineup of supporting acts ranging from the red dirt scene, including Shane Smith & The Saints, Ole 60, Wyatt Flores, Corey Kent, Wade Bowen, Bayker Blankenship, Kolby Cooper, and Logan Jahnke. With 45 stops worldwide ahead of him, Wetzel has a jam-packed year in store.
In the meantime, for fans in Texas hoping to celebrate this rowdy Taco Bell and vodka-infused anniversary, the 33-year-old singer-songwriter will take the stage tonight at his Houston Riot Room Bar. While there are no official tickets for this event with a “first-come, first-served” policy, there’s an RSVP link on his website. The night promises a celebration of the song that started it all with a live performance, limited merch, and surprise guests.
More details about Wetzel’s upcoming seventh studio album have yet to be announced, but fans have plenty to be excited about. Since his last album, 9 Lives, was released in July 2024, he has dropped only two singles: “Surrounded” in July 2025 and, most recently, “Time Goes On” in February 2026. Hopefully, in honor of the upcoming tenth anniversary of Noise Complaint, this new project will also mark a return to his roots.
Fans can register for early access to tickets now before the presale begins on Tuesday, March 10, at 10 AM local time. The general sale will also begin Friday, March 13, at 10 AM local time.
