Girl in the Mirror has been a highly anticipated release for many fans of Megan Moroney. Ever since she posted an acoustic teaser of the song back in November, many have been wondering when the Tennessee Orange singer would officially release the track. Flash forward to April 14th, and it’s finally here.
Girl in the Mirror is the fourth single off of her upcoming debut album, Lucky, set to release on May 5.
This is Moroney’s most vulnerable song, yet. In the caption of her Instagram announcement, Moroney cites that the song “helped her a lot and i’m hoping it helps y’all just the same,” Moroney captures a struggle with self-perception and self-worth throughout Girl in the Mirror. She frequently states “She looks just like me, but I don’t recognize her.“
