Fresh off of the release of his highly-anticipated single, “Lies Lies Lies,” back on July 5th, Morgan Wallen is back to teasing new music.
Just minutes ago the “Last Night” singer took to Instagram to post a lengthy one-minute teaser of a brand-new, unreleased song.
The track begins with a fairly different production style compared to Wallen’s past work, featuring an acoustic guitar picking over some background vocals harmonizing together. The verses’ lyrics are as follows:
“I can’t remember the last time
You looked as happy as you did tonight
Your tipsy friend grabbed that bartender
Gave him your her phone and pulled us over there with her
We counted to three and baby I haven’t seen
That side of you in forever
I hate it’s the truth, Baby you never do
hen we’re alone together”
The verses lead directly into the chorus that features Wallen flexing his vocal range and hitting some impressive high notes.
“But it was good to see you smile
Girl you know it’s been a while
It was good to see you smile
Even if it was just for the picture”
It seems like everything that Wallen touches turns to gold these days, and it looks like he has another hit on his hands here with this unreleased track. Fans are already begging for the song to be released as soon as possible with comments on the post reading: “GIVE US THE MUSIC MORGIE,” “gasped at those high notes” and “Where’s the albummmmmmmmmmmm.“
Fellow country star, Bailey Zimmerman, even commented saying, “THIS THAT SH*T👌🔥.”
