With President Trump’s historic inauguration on January 20th just days away, the list of artists and performers has been slowing getting announced by the day. Carrie Underwood was first confirmed to be performing America The Beautiful along with The Armed Forces Chorus and The United States Naval Academy Glee Club during the swearing-in ceremony.
Moments ago, it was officially revealed that Parker McCollum would be performing for the president Monday evening along with the likes of Jason Aldean, Rascal Flatts, Kid Rock, Billy Ray Cyrus, Lee Greenwood, Gavin DeGraw and The Village People.
John Hendren, a correspondent for the Los Angeles Times, NPR and ABC News, along with other reputable sources took to X to share the itinerary for the inauguration:
As shown in the itinerary above, McCollum is set to perform at The Commander-in-Chief Ball with Rascal Flatts, which directly proceeds Aldean, The Village People and a surprise guest’s performances at The Liberty Ball.
It seems as if it’s a no-brainer to see the likes of Aldean, Kid Rock and Greenwood performing at the ball; however, McCollum’s inclusion was a bit less expected. Though the 2x ACM Award winner has been quite outspoken with his right-leaning politics in the past on X, he never formally endorsed President Trump during the election and was never rumored to appear in an early set of potential Inauguration Day performance leaks.
It’s safe to say that this is one of the biggest stages that McCollum has and will probably ever perform on. Regardless of your political affiliation, you can’t deny this is a huge moment for the Limestone Kid.
