Reba is returning to television.
NBC announced on Monday that they have officially ordered a pilot for a new comedy sitcom.
While still untitled, the show will star Reba, who “inherits her father’s restaurant and is less than thrilled to discover that she has a new business partner in the half-sister she never knew she had.”
If you’re anything like me, you’re a little disappointed to hear there’s still no plans for a reboot of “Reba,” her original sitcom that aired from 2001-2007 on the WB and the CW. However, Kevin Abbott, who served as an executive producer for the hit show, will be returning alongside Reba as a producer and writer for this new sitcom.
Reba has been apart of many additional TV shows including Young Sheldon and Malibu Country. She also was played the role of Kim Wheeler in the Lifetime original movie, “The Hammer,” released in January of last year.
At 68 years old, Reba also took over Blake Shelton’s coaching duties when she joined NBC’s singing competition, “The Voice,” for season 24. Age seems to be no factor for the busy country star.
Reba is set to perform the National Anthem at Super Bowl LVIII when the San Francisco 49ers take on the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday, February 11th.
