There’s no denying Riley Green’s got a thing for the ladies…75 and older, that is.
If you’re wondering why the 37-year-old country music heartthrob hasn’t settled down yet, it might be because he’s too busy swooning grandmas in the crowd. Over the weekend, Green embarked on a string of California show dates, rounding out his stops in Mountain View on Saturday, September 26.
While crooning to the Shoreline Amphitheatre crowd, the “Worst Way” singer just so happened to spot his new replacement for his original duet partner, Ella Langley. Putting his classic Southern charm to work, Green pointed her out to the crowd and joked, “This young lady right here, has been giving me the eyes all night.”
Lo and behold, at the other end of Green’s pointing finger was an elderly woman hurrying toward the stage, whipping that cane around faster than prime Mario Andretti on race day. As she etched closer to her 6’4″ dream boat, Green fittingly led into his 2024 collaboration with Langley, “You Look Like You Love Me.”
Of course, granny knew every word, leaning in awe against Green’s chest as he serenaded straight into her eyes, wrapping his arm around her. Hilariously, after the final declaration of “You look like you love me,” the woman, without skipping a beat, mouthed, “I do!”
Green, chuckling, went in for the big finisher, leaned over and kissed her cheek as she fawned like a school girl. I think this is all the proof we need that you’re never too old to have a hall pass… sorry, Grandpa.
According to the swooning comment section on the now-viral posts circulating on the internet, I wouldn’t be surprised if ladies don’t start showing out to the shows dressed in white wigs and canes. And the heart-stealing moments certainly didn’t stop there.
You’d think Green was the Pope with the way he was working the crowd Saturday night, also making everyone collectively go “awww” when he scooped up a young fan into his arms. Wearing pink boots and a matching pacifier, the little girl got the ultimate front-row experience as Green held her on his hip and sang along to “Dixieland Delight.”
Sorry to all the eligible ladies hoping to be spotted in the crowd; apparently, Green had his eyes set on two very different demographics. With a newly announced 2027 tour already on the way, Green only has a handful of shows left on his 2026 calendar. He’ll return to the stage Thursday, October 1, in Austin, Texas.
