Riley Green had the stage looking like a black friday Victoria’s Secret blowout sale this past weekend in Bangor, Maine.
My guy had not one…not two…but THREE bras thrown on stage along with someone’s bunched-up thong. Of course, he and his bandmates had to hang their trophies somewhere during the show, so pretty much everyone’s guitars looked like redneck Christmas trees with the undergarments hanging from their instruments.
One TikTok user captured the slew of “fan-gifts” caught by Green during his Saturday night, August 15 show at the Maine Savings Amphitheater. One of the bras was flung during Green’s performance of Toby Keith’s 1993 hit, “Should’ve Been A Cowboy.”
What can I say? I guess a Big Dog Daddy cover just gets the ladies riled up. By this point in the show, Green had some woman’s white double D cup hanging off his acoustic guitar, his electric guitarist had an equally massive beige holder hanging off the neck of his guitar (and now that I’m watching the clip again…maybe even a fourth dangling off the body of his guitar?)
And then another clip shows his other guitarist proudly playing with a thong and bra wrapped around the tuning pegs. Going with the theme of the night, Green couldn’t help but change the iconic lyrics from Keith’s debut single to sing, “he never hung his…bra at Kitty’s place.”
Unfortunately, that NSFW parody version’s going to be stuck in my head for eternity now. Green also took note of the one extra-large bra being flung on stage by picking it up and announcing to the crowd, “there’s some big ole receptacles on that thang.”
Oh, and as for the thong, he first picked it up with a drumstick, wearing a slightly disgusted look on his face, before hanging it on the mic stand and jokingly announcing, “Ma’am, you dropped those.”
Now, while I’m glad Green can embrace his fans stripping down and throwing their sweaty undergarments on stage at him, and it sure does make for some good concert content…I’d be a little more scared if I were him. I’m just saying the “Worst Way” singer is one wrong throw away from getting a thong to the face and catching pink eye.
With that being said, send prayers to him as he heads back to the stage this Thursday, August 20, in Des Moines at the Iowa State Fair.
