On June 7th, 1997, Tim McGraw and Faith Hill’s iconic duet, “It’s Your Love” went No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs.
Written by Stephony Smith, It’s Your Love became the first duet by a married couple to top the Country chart since the the inception of Broadcast Data Systems in 1990 and only Kane and Katelyn Brown have done it since with their song, “Thank God.“
The song went on to spend six weeks at the No. 1 spot and is still, in my opinion, one of the best duets to ever exist in Country music. Being released as the lead single off of McGraw’s album “Everywhere,” the album also featured other singles such as “Just To See You Smile,” and “Where The Green Grass Grows.“
