Arguably, two of the hottest male and female country stars in the industry right now joined forces last night for a surprise duet performance.
RIAA’s highest certified country artist, Morgan Wallen, took the stage on Thursday, April 2, for an intimate performance at the Pinnacle in Nashville, celebrating the upcoming launch of his 24-hour SiriusXM channel. Showcasing a range of 16 songs that included hits from his most recent I’m The Problem album, along with his classic discography staples, Wallen invited the current chart-topping leading lady Ella Langley, to perform with him.
The two have taken a swing at a few live duets in the past, mostly while Langley joined Wallen on his 2025 I’m The Problem Tour, along with Wallen hopping in on a performance of Jason Isbell’s “Cover Me Up” at Langley’s November 2025 sold-out Ryman show. Now, with Langley conquering insane new feats, garnering the title as the longest-running Billboard Hot 100 country artist with “Choosin’ Texas,” last night’s performance feels like a whole new level of their on stage stardom crossover.
Wowing the room of about 4,000 SiriusXM subscribers in attendance, Langley harmonized with Wallen, playing the keys on this stripped-down rendition of his 2021 track, “Sand In My Boots.” Given the crowd’s erupting reaction to their blended voices and the fact that Langley will once again join Wallen for a select few dates on the 2026 Still The Problem Tour, hopefully, this isn’t the last fusion we hear from these two.
Next Friday, April 10, will be an exciting date for both artists as Wallen heads out on this exciting 23-date summer tour along with the highly anticipated release of Langley’s sophomore album, Dandelion. The Alabama native will also hit the road on her coinciding headlining tour in the following months, kicking off on May 7 in Toledo, Ohio.
