There’s no doubt that Kenny Chesney’s Sun Goes Down tour is one of the hottest tours in the genre right now, selling out stadiums across the country. Featuring the likes of Zac Brown Band and the new it-girl in country music, Megan Moroney, as well as Uncle Kracker, Chesney keeps proving that he is one of the premiere entertainers still even at the age of 56.
On Saturday, the “Summertime” singer brought the Sun Goes Down tour to Seattle, Washington, at Lumen Field, home of the Seattle Seahawks. Throughout the show, Chesney packed the setlist with hits including “Living in Fast Forward,” “Somewhere With You” and “American Kids.” However, the highlight of the show had to be when he brought out Moroney to perform his 2017 hit, “All the Pretty Girls,” and more notably, “She Think’s My Tractor’s Sexy.”
Ironically, Chesney was (jokingly) criticized by none other than Pat McAfee for leaving the iconic track off of his setlist during the beginning of the tour. On his June 22nd appearance on The Pat McAfee Show, Chesney said, “I’ve gotten there with several songs. We don’t do ‘She Thinks My Tractor’s Sexy’ this year.” and later added, “I got so sick of singing it. We might throw it out every now and then.”
And while I’m not saying that McAfee was directly responsible for Chesney adding the song back to the setlist, I’m definitely not ruling that out.
