Despite being Tyler Childers‘ most popular song to date with over 477 million streams on Spotify and a 2x platinum certification from the RIAA, “Feathered Indians” has famously been out of Childers’ setlist at concerts for years now. Though the “All Your’n” singer has stopped playing it at concerts, Post Malone made up for its absence at live shows last night during his set at Outside Lands Festival in San Francisco, California.
Post’s performance came on the final night of the three-day Outside Lands Festival which featured the likes of Sturgill Simpson, The Killers, Sabrina Carpenter and Chappel Roan throughout the weekend.
In a country cover setlist that contained Tim McGraw’s “Just to See You Smile,” Brooks & Dunn’s “Brand New Man” and Toby Keith’s “Courtesy of the Red, White and Blue” as well as his #1 hit, “I Had Some Help,” the show-stealer was undoubtedly his performance of “Feathered Indians.”
Before the performance, Post said, “I’m gonna play one of my favorite Tyler songs.” before diving into a stellar cover of the 2017 hit.
The Outside Lands Festival appearance coupled with his debut at the Ryman Auditorium on Wednesday, August 14th seems to be the final push before his debut country album, F-1 Trillion releases this Friday. The full tracklist for the album is the following:
