74 years old and the king has STILL got it.
While the inevitable end of George Strait’s touring career may unfortunately be getting closer, that doesn’t mean the country music legend is slowing down anytime soon. In fact, he’s still showing off his modeling chops as the face of Wrangler Jeans’ latest ad.
Sure, chart-topping phenomenon Ella Langley may have stolen the denim spotlight in 2026 with her American Eagle collaboration, but there’s no denying Strait is still the real showstopper. And with his latest commercial making the rounds online, the King of Country’s longtime partnership with the iconic cowboy denim brand has now been going strong for more than 30 years.
One of his first advertisements with the brand dates back to his “I’ll Always Be Loving You” prime in 1994, when he dazzled in the “cowboy cut jeans” in various print ads and a TV commercial (y’all remember when we used to get excited about magazine ads?) Fast forward 32 years and now he’s circulating all over TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, And X with his brand new “Wrangler George Strait Collection.”
In the short clip of him rockin’ his iconic black cowboy hat, button up shirt, and shining belt buckle he narrates, “You know how to spot an original. They never change who they are or what they stand for. Same is true with Wrangler.” Continuing, “No matter how much time goes by, no matter which way the wind blows, there they are. The style might change, but they still strike the same chord.”
He ends the clip walking off in his signature collection stating, “Long live cowboys.” And given the fact the King looks just as good at 74 as he did when he first started out in country music— and is still rocking the same unmistakable style— I’d say he was a pretty d*mn good fit for this campaign.
As can be expected, the comment section online is flooded with long-time fans of the 60 No.1’s hitmaker, along with plenty of swooning middle-aged women who seem more than ready to try on his cowboy hat.
Safe to say, Strait still deserves his title as country music’s resident silver fox. Heck, he’s even got Larry the Cable Guy swooning over him on X:
