As of November 15th, Zach Bryan earned two new gold certifications from the RIAA for his latest self-titled album, along with his single, “I Remember Everything,” featuring Kacey Musgraves off the same record.
In case you weren’t aware, when an artist receives a gold certification, it means the single or album has sold at least 500,000 units since its release
A unit defines the consumption of music that equals the purchase of one album copy. With the rise of streaming platforms such as Spotify and Apple Music over the last decade, you can no longer base certifications and other achievements solely based on physical copies so consumption includes streaming and song downloads in addition to traditional album sales.
The song, written by both Zach and Kacey, debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot 100, all-genre chart, the first time either artist has had a song reach the top spot there, and has quickly already become one of the most popular songs of the year.
Last month, Zach received twelve RIAA platinum/gold certs, including one for “Something In The Orange,” which went a massive 6x platinum.
Heading South also reached 2x platinum status, while “Burn, Burn, Burn”, “From Austin,” “Oklahoma Smokeshow” and “Sun Too Me” were all certified platinum.
