This duet will feed families.
Back in April, Cody Johnson did an interview with Cody Alan from a televised CMT Awards nominee special where he informed the radio personality that he and powerhouse vocalist, Carrie Underwood, had just recorded a new song for his upcoming album, “Leather.”
While CoJo decided to split up the album (with the second half expected to be released in November), we now know the Carrie/Cody duet is titled “I’m Gonna Love You” and will be out next Friday, September 27th.
Fans unexpectedly received a short teaser of the track yesterday evening before the 37 year-old country star shared the news on social media today:
“Thrilled to announce that “I’m Gonna Love You” is coming out next Friday, 9/27. Thank you @carrieunderwood for joining me on this one and making it so special. Can’t wait for y’all to hear it.”
There’s not too many vocalists in Country music better than Cody and Carrie. With that said, I fully expect this song to deliver on the high expectations it’s currently setting. Fingers crossed.
