Looks like Christmas came early for Morgan Wallen fans.
Just moments ago, the 31 year-old country star shared a teaser of a brand new song to his Instagram account with the caption: “Rough demo verse chorus of a song we wrote the other day. I do believe I like it.“
And judging by the comments thus far, Morgan ain’t the only one who likes it, with many fans (and fellow country singers) praising the sound and already begging for its release:
Although Morgan hasn’t released a whole lot of new music as of late, he still had himself one helluva year – coming in as the fourth most streamed artist of 2024 on Spotify, and becoming the first artist ever to earn five #1s on Billboard’s Country Airplay chart in a calendar year with “Mamaw’s House,” “Man Made A Bar,” “I Had Some Help,” “Cowgirls” and “Lies Lies Lies.”
Additionally, the “Last Night” singer also became the second artist and the first since 1974 to score back-to-back Billboard Songs of the Summer with “I Had Some Help” and “Last Night” receiving the honor in subsequent years.
After recently wrapping up his One Night At A Time World Tour back in October, Wallen shared an update video exclusively to ticket buyers assuring fans that although he’s taking time for himself, he’s also in the studio:
“I just wanted to say thank you personally and give you an opportunity to have something cool at the same time. I’m working. I’m taking a little time for myself but I’m working also. Can’t wait to get back out there and see y’all at some point next year.”
