I think the internet just stumbled upon a man living his best life…and somehow it’s turned into a full-blown debate over concert etiquette?
At the center of today’s heated discussion is an unsuspecting fan who was caught watching a football game during Ella Langley’s sold-out stop in Jacksonville, Florida, this past Saturday, September 19. Based on my highly sophisticated detective work, by the looks of the blurry screen captured on the now-trending TikTok, it appears the man was watching the fourth quarter of the heated Auburn VS. Florida game, which kicked off at 7 p.m.
And considering the concert’s northeast Florida location, I’m going to take a wild guess and assume the man sitting in the stands at VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena was on the edge of his seat, watching the Gators maintain their winning score of 44 points up until the last second. But as for the user who captured the short clip, she was less than impressed with the behavior, captioning the clip “found a new ick.”
The video, of course, has spurred a whole comment section of people debating whether the man is being completely disrespectful or if he’s getting to experience the best of both worlds. Usually, situations where fans seem more focused on their phones than the concert tend to draw plenty of backlash, but surprisingly, quite a few people were actually on his side.
After all, when it comes to college football season, people don’t mess around. And to be fair, the guy was multitasking pretty d*mn well, keeping his iPhone by his side while presumably splitting his attention between the neck-and-neck game and the dazzling country phenomenon performing right in front of him.

But, of course, there were also plenty of fans who were rubbed the wrong way by the situation, arguing that there’s a time and place to watch the game, and apparently, mid-song during “Loving Life Again” isn’t one of them.
I think the overall consensus from the comment section, though, is that the real “ick” is people who can’t mind their own business at concerts. After all, the guy was watching the game without blocking anyone’s view, keeping to himself, and probably even made a few fellow Ella Fella friends along the way who were checking in with him for score updates.
Considering the rest of Langley’s 2026 Dandelion Fall Tour is bound to overlap with plenty of college and NFL football games, I have a feeling this multitasking trend won’t exactly be a one-off occurrence. Heck, even Langley’s “Jaded” collaborator Koe Wetzel has been known to keep track of the score while actually performing on stage.
This Thursday, September 24 the “Choosin’ Texas” chart-topper will return to the stage in Knoxville, TN (luckily before College GameDay on Saturday), followed by two more stops over the weekend in Columbus, Ohio, and Moline, Illinois.
