That twang though.
Back before I was even born, Justin Timberlake (then going by Justin Randall) was already on his way to becoming a star. Although the direction of his music went MUCH different, Justin has admitted time and time again that he’s wanted to put out a Country album and has even performed alongside the legendary Chris Stapleton.
JT has always had amazing charisma and stage presence, even at just 11 years old.
Before being cast on the All New Mickey Mouse Club and joining *NSYNC, Justin was a participant on the long-running talent series, Star Search, and performed Alan Jackson’s No. 1 song, “Love’s Got A Hold On You.”
Although he lost to Anna Nardona (who?) it might’ve been the best thing to ever happen to Timberlake and his massive career.
“It’s funny. If I had won on Star Search just one time, I would not have made the audition [for The All-New Mickey Mouse Club]. I think God has his master plan and he’ll lay it out for you. But you have to walk that road.”
Watch his performance below.
