Pecos & the boys have FINALLY announced their first ever, album. After years and years of droppin’ singles, the only real project we had from Pecos & The Rooftops was their 2020 EP, “Red Eye,” (which I still jam to religiously) but today, with the release of their brand new song, “Last Thing I Remember,” the boys also announced that their self-titled, debut album with Warner Records, will officially be out on June 23rd. In honor of the 58th annual ACM Award’s next week, we’re going back a few years to honor The King. In 2019, George Strait released a surprise song, “God and Country Music,” and not only does it have a special meaning, it also featured vocals from his, at the time, 6 year old grandson. Written by Luke Laird, Barry Dean and Lori McKenna, the song is as traditional as something Strait would’ve released in the 80’s or 90’s. Staying true to his roots, the song gives us the notion that Country music and God are the two things still worth…

Just this morning, Texas native William Clark Green, announced he was making his debut at the Grand Ole Opry on May 16th. The Opry has always been a place that Country music artists strive to play at and (hopefully) become a member of when they’re young in their career. Even though the credibility of the Opry has started to diminish over the years, it’s still cool to see guys like Green get a chance to be recognized. The “She Likes The Beatles” singer put out his first record in 2008 but if I’m being honest, I didn’t discover him until…

Takin’ a little trip down memory lane.. Back in 1989, “Friends In Low Places,” written by Earl Bud Lee and Dewayne Blackwell , was originally intended to be a George Strait song. Low Places, arguably the biggest hit of Garth Brooks’ career, was sent to him before he had ever released an album to record a demo so it could be sent to The King. Fast forward a year later, and George Strait never decided to cut it. “’Friends in Low Places’ was the last demo session I ever did as a singer. I sang the session out in Hendersonville,…

HARDY’s been havin’ himself a year. Back in January, HARDY released his half-country, half-rock album, “the mockingbird & THE CROW,” and has seen huge success at Country radio with his Lainey Wilson feature, “wait in the truck.” Up next, HARDY is deciding to pull “Truck Bed,” a single from the rock side of his record, to send over to Country radio as his next single, set to impact May 15th. Lyrically reminiscent of his song “Boots,” the track is infectiously catchy and most fans, like myself, can’t wait for the ending when the song goes full on rock. Will this…
