Earlier this week, the staff writers over at Billboard released their “100 Greatest Country Artists of All Time” list, and as you probably could’ve guessed – it’s a complete joke. First, let me preface this article by saying that music is obviously subjective and there’s no way to please country fans and prevent them from being pissed off about something on the internet regardless (can’t say I blame them with what we’ve been forced to endure over the last decade). With that said, it’s clear that bias and politics played a role in determining whom and in what order certain…

“Somebody call HR please.” Jokes were flying in by the dozen last night at the CMA Awards with hosts, Lainey Wilson, Luke Bryan and Peyton Manning, delivering some solid lines throughout the night. Though they failed to point out the absolute joke that the CMAs themselves have become over the past decade, the trio did land a couple of good ones referencing Luke Combs’ “Sexiest Man Alive” nod and Jelly Roll’s weight-loss journey over the year. For the most part, it was your typical awards show fare with an even mix of corny bits and some solid riffing between the…
Zach Top is officially hittin’ the road. Back in September, the “I Never Lie” singer announced his headlining 2025 ‘Cold Beer & Country Music’ Tour with special guests Jake Worthington and Cole Goodwin. Taking advantage off his growing popularity, Top took to social media this morning to announce an additional 11 tour dates, featuring previously announced opener, Jake Worthington, as well as 24 year-old newcomer, Lauren Watkins. The tour kicks off on January 16th, in Omaha, NE, and was originally scheduled to wrap up in mid-March. Now, with a three-week break, Top will pick back up in Oxford, MS, on April 2nd,…
Country’s finest. Back in 2017, Chris Stapleton and George Strait (as well as a handful of others) took the stage together to perform Strait’s 1993 classic, “When Did You Stop Loving Me.” The song was the third and final single from Strait’s “Pure Country” album and the performance was at a benefit concert to raise money for Hurricane Harvey victims. When it was all said and done, they ended up raising over 40 million dollars. Even though he was one of the performers himself, Chris didn’t take the moment for granted: “If you don’t think growing up listening to George…
Doin’ Whitley justice… It’s no secret (or at least it shouldn’t be anyway), that Zach Top is emerging himself as one of the biggest country artists in the genre. While Morgan Wallen and Zach Bryan overwhelmingly dominate streaming numbers, Top is bringing back that traditional 80’s and 90’s sound country music fans clearly still crave, and doing it extremely well I might add. While his original music, especially the songs from his recent sophomore studio album, “Cold Beer & Country Music,” are nothing short of incredible, the man does every artist before him justice when he adds his smooth and twangy vocals into the mix. From his acoustic…
Not something many artists can do. Back in 2020, it was hard for a lot of folks to remain positive throughout the stress and unknown brought to us via the Covid-19 pandemic. From lockdowns, to summer outdoor activities (most notably concerts and festivals) being canceled, alcohol sales increased and social media consumption skyrocketed. For some, the days dragged and there wasn’t much to look forward to. BUT, throughout all the chaos and the “six feet apart” screams at every convenience store in America, there was one saving grace – music. Due to the strict mandates, artists were forced to find…
