Country music enthusiast and avid drinker of alcohol. Old Aldean is better than your favorite artist. (except for Zach Top)

Two legends, one song. Last night, some of country music’s biggest artists took the stage at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville to pay tribute to the late, great, Toby Keith. With performances from Jamey Johnson, Lainey Wilson, Parker McCollum, Darius Rucker, and more, the event benefited TK’s foundation’s, the OK Kids Korral and the Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt. Aside from the tribute performances, Jelly Roll introduced Toby Keith’s last-ever studio recording session, telling the crowd that no one had ever seen the footage before, that is until now. The session was a recording of Joe Diffie’s “Ships That Don’t…

Honoring the big dog daddy. While of course, there were performances of “Beer For My Horses” and “Courtesy of the Red, White and Blue,” it was Eric Church who sang one of Toby’s popular, yet more underrated singles, “As Good As I Once…

Last night, HARDY celebrated the release of his recent album “Quit!!” with a performance on The Tonight Show. At this point, I’m convinced Chris Stapleton could sing literally anything and it would be masterpiece. Lucky for us, Chris is as good a songwriter as he is a performer, but with a voice like that, Chris could sing a song written by a 9 year-old and it would still probably go No. 1. Back before he was the household name he is today, Chris was a prominent Nashville songwriter, pinning hits for Darius Rucker, Josh Turner, Kenny Chesney, Thomas Rhett and more. One of the many songs he wrote that got overlooked, however, is a track called “Treat You…

Of course I’m writing about Chick-Fil-a on a Sunday… Well, in a surprise turn of events, Chick-Fil-a has officially been dethroned as the No. 1 fast food chain in America. Not only did the christian chicken company fall off the top spot after nine straight years, it now comes in third place with voters, according to USA Today’s annual reader-ranked survey. What’s even more surprising is whom took them over. Coming in at second place is none other than the colonel with his Kentucky Fried Chicken. Now look, I love me a good 10 piece bucket from time to time (when…

Yeah, I’m gonna add this to the long list of covers I need Zach Top to release on streaming services… It’s no secret (or at least it shouldn’t be anyway), that Zach Top is emerging himself as one of the biggest country artists in the genre. While Morgan Wallen and Zach Bryan overwhelmingly dominate streaming numbers, Top is bringing back that traditional 80’s and 90’s sound country music fans clearly still crave, and doing it extremely well I might add. While his original music, especially the songs from his recent sophomore studio album, “Cold Beer & Country Music,” are nothing short of incredible, the man does…
