My name is Brady and I like purple flowers.

At a time where you should come to expect the unexpected, a Miranda Lambert and Enrique Iglesias duet would’ve still never in a million years crossed my mind. This morning, the pair shared a teaser on social media of their upcoming new song, “Space In My Heart,” set to drop next Thursday, February 22nd. On a joint collaboration post via Instagram, Enrique captioned it calling their duet the “original version,” seemingly implying that there will be more than one version. Considering Iglesias, known for his massive hit, “Hero,” here in the states, is one of the best-selling latin artists of…

Back in 2020, Garth Brooks was being honored by the Library of Congress for the Gershwin Prize award and the ceremony featured performances from Keith Urban, Lee Brice, wife Trisha Yearwood, and the legendary Chris Stapleton. Stapleton performed Garth’s 1991 hit (and my personal favorite song from GB) “Shameless.” While Garth’s version became insanely popular, landing the singer his 7th No. 1, anything Chris Stapleton puts his voice on is Country at its best. Although the reputation of the Grammys (and just about every award show for that matter) has diminished over the last decade or so, it is still seen as the most prestigious award that an artist can win – the oscars of the music industry, so to speak. Many country acts have been treated kindly by the recording academy, just refer to Alison Krauss (27) and Vince Gill (21) who lead the country music genre in Grammy award wins. Likewise, there’s a long list of country acts who have never had the privilege and “honor” of taking home a gold-plated gramophone…

In what seems to be a pure money grab, Lana Del Rey is expected to release her first “country” album, titled “Lasso,” this September. At a pre-Grammy event hosted by Billboard last night in Los Angeles, Lana Del Rey informed the crowd that her tenth studio album is officially on the way. However, what came next probably shocked fans (or maybe it didn’t, at this point… I don’t really know). “If you can’t already tell by our award winners and our performers, the music business is going country. We’re going country. It’s happening. That’s why Jack has followed me to…

The 90’s produced some of the most legendary and timeless country songs ever. In 1994 specifically, the genre saw Tim McGraw burst on to the scene and have a massive hit with “Don’t Take The Girl,” while Clay Walker and John Michael Montgomery each had three songs reach #1 on Billboard’s Hot Country Singles chart. Other artists who achieved more than one #1 song that year include Brooks & Dunn, Alan Jackson, Joe Diffie, Neal McCoy and Faith Hill. Here are the 30 country songs that topped the chart in 1994: Wild One – Faith Hill (4 weeks) Live Until…
