After the announcement of the Country Music Association (CMA) Awards nominees two weeks ago, many have been weighing in on their picks for the highly coveted Entertainer of the Year nominations. From Bobby Bones saying that it should come down to Zach Bryan (who wasn’t nominated), Morgan Wallen and Luke Combs, to Luke Bryan showing favor to Morgan Wallen due to his record-breaking One Night At A Time tour, many have been giving their two cents on who should win the proverbial MVP award at the CMAs. Last night at the 17th ACM Honors, Alan Jackson was presented with the ACM’s Poets Award, an honor presented to a songwriter for “outstanding and longstanding musical and/or lyrical contributions throughout their career. A plethora of today’s country artists covered Jackson’s hits throughout the night with Jordan Davis performing “Chattahoochee,” Carly Pearce performing “Don’t Rock the Jukebox” and most notably, Eric Church performing a stripped-back version of his 1990 hit, “Chasin’ That Neon Rainbow.” In typical Church fashion, he made the song his own, delivering a soulful acoustic rendition of the song. Though it doesn’t sound incredibly similar to Jackson’s original version, Church did the song…
After the recent announcement of his brand new bar in Nashville, Riley Green’s Duck Blind, his upcoming album, Don’t Mind If I Do and the continuing success of his collaboration with Ella Langley, “you look like you love me,” there’s no doubt that Riley Green is one of the hottest artists in Nashville. Today, the Alabama native is back with yet another new announcement, his 2025 North American tour, aptly titled the Damn Country Music Tour. Green took to Instagram this morning to post a tour announcement video inspired by the 1977 Burt Reynolds classic, Smokey and the Bandit. The Damn Country…
I don’t think Jesus done it this way. Over the weekend, Riley Green made a stop in Fredrick, Maryland during the town’s Great Fredrick Fair. The Alabama native treated fans to a plethora of hits ranging from “Different ‘Round Here” to his recent #1 single, “Worst Way” along with covers of Toby Keith’s “Courtesy of the Red, White and Blue (The Angry American)” as well as Jamey Johnson’s “In Color.” During the latter part of the set, Green performed a solo, acoustic rendition of “Jesus Saves,” a song that Thomas Rhett described as the “best song of the year.” “Not that my…
I need a studio version ASAP. With the U.S. fall leg of his One Night At A Time tour kicking off this weekend in Knoxville, Tennessee, Morgan Wallen has been bringing out all the stars in his home state. On Friday, fans were treated to surprise appearances from Eric Church on “Quittin’ Time” as well as ERNEST with back-to-back performances of “Flower Shops” and “Cowgirls.” Tonight, the “Last Night” singer kept the surprise appearances coming, bringing out none other than Miranda Lambert for a performance of his severely underrated 2021 #1 hit, “Thought You Should Know,” which was co-written by…
Fresh off of the announcement of his new partnership with the independent label, Virgin Music Group, after his department from MCA/Universal Music Group Nashville, Kip Moore is back with his first release in nearly two years with the rockin’ new track, “Live Here To Work.” Moore took to Instagram last Friday to announce the song’s release. “Live Here To Work” marks the first release from Moore since Damn Love, and it’s just about everything you’d want to hear from the “Hey Pretty Girl” singer. Solo-written by the Georgia native, the song includes his patented gravely vocals, some excellent electric guitar…
