Talk about super fan status.
The legendary duo Brooks & Dunn recently gave a special shout-out to a devoted fan who has attended a whopping 92 of their shows. I’d personally love to know A. what this woman’s bank account looks like and B. how long it took her to accomplish this feat.
The “Boot Scootin’ Boogie” singers took the stage at the Grand Ole Opry earlier this week on Wednesday, August 12 as they helped the Nashville landmark continue to celebrate their 100 anniversary (and insanely enough, they’ve yet to be inducted as official members). Sharing the stage throughout the night with artists like Dustin Lynch, Mae Estes, and their most recent collaboration partner, Zach John King, they dominated the Opry circle with their thirty-five years of hits.
When you’ve got multiple multi-platinum fan favorites like “Neon Moon” and “Ain’t Nothing ‘Bout You” it’s not hard to get a crowd full of fans singing along but luckily they also had the ultimate hype woman in the crowd who was bound to know every lyric. In between songs Kix Brooks took time to talk to the audience, asking everyone who was experiencing their first Brooks & Dunn concert for the first time and who’s repeat offenders.
He called out the insanely dedicated fan asking, “and who is it that’s been to 91 shows?” to which she proudly hopped up from her seat waving his hands. He hilariously questioned, “what is wrong with you?”
You gotta reallllyyy love an artist to attend that many shows, let alone just that many concerts in total is an incredible feat. He continued making the crowd chuckle with his remark, “Golly so I guess we’re getting a bill for therapy pretty soon.”
He thanked the fan, wearily adding, “that is amazing…I think.” He was ultimately pretty touched by the feat, and Ronnie Dunn displayed his appreciation later in the night as well giving her the ultimate souvenir from the show.
Following his near lung-bursting final note of “Neon Moon,” Dunn caught his breath and unstrapped his black electric guitar, handing it off to the security who brought it to the ecstatic fan. You could tell it was a top ten moment for the endeared woman.
I feel like at this point this lady deserves a few free tickets to eight of their shows on their upcoming tour to really round out her record to 100. Following their jam packed summer opening for Morgan Wallen’s 2026 Still The Problem tour, they’ll return to the stage next month on September 10 in Indiana for their very own Neon Moon tour.
