Great news for CoJo fans.
Back in April of last year, Cody Johnson sat down with KMLE Country 107.9 in Florence, Arizona, where he revealed that his next project would be another double album before taking the stage to perform at Country Thunder.
In the interview, CoJo stated that the upcoming album would be released a little differently than the last, and promised a total of 24 brand new tracks. He also indicated that “Leather” will have a more high energy type sound, saying “I think the theme of this new album is ‘fun.’”
While we later learned that the album was in fact released a little differently than the last, considering he decided to break it up and release 12 songs at a time, we now have a timeframe of when the second half is going to be released.
During a recent concert, Johnson told the fans in attendance that his new record is finally ready to rock:
“I was in the studio all day yesterday. Leather: The Deluxe Edition is officially done and you’ll have it this fall.”
While there’s no official release date at this very moment, I’d make the assumption that Cody releases the deluxe record in November to provide continuity between the two, considering the first half was also released back in early November of last year…but what do I know?
