You can’t convince me there are many people in country music who would be more fun to hang out with than Luke Bryan.

After more than 20 years in the industry, Bryan has built a reputation for being just as entertaining offstage as he is on it. He comes across as an all-around goofy, down-to-earth Georgia boy who isn’t afraid to let his sense of humor fly… even when he’s dealing with complete strangers.

Alabama-born and now Nashville-based comedian Danae Hays recently put the “Crash My Party” singer’s open-book personality to the test, using him as the focus of one of the most recent viral bits from a live show. Sitting on top of Nashville’s Zanies Comedy Club stage, decked out in a blonde mullet, Hays borrowed the phone of the woman sitting to the side of her who so happened to be one of Luke’s family friends.

Thinking his long-time mutual friend was hitting him up, of course Bryan answered his phone, to which Hays, in a deep southern accent, replied, “I found this woman’s phone near Broadway, and I saw where your name was in the phone and I told myseld I’m not dying without talking to Luke Bryan.” Spoken like a true fangirl.

Instead of being concerned or immediately blocking the call, Luke sat through Hays’ pleas of, “I really wanna talk to you Luke; please don’t hang up on me. Tell me anything, tell me how you wrote that song.” A little muffle came through the phone, to which Hays straight up asked, “The f*ck are you doin’?”

Bryan replied, “What am I doin?…Goin’ to work.” This is just about the point when things start to go south, and any kids under 16 need to vacate the room immediately. Hays lets out a hefty moan, questioning, “You with another man right now? I can hear.”

Bryan affirms, “That’s my nephew. I’m with my nephew.” She then tells him to shut up the racket in the background, which he shares is his pool “trickling,” which received another few highly uncomfortable groans from Hays. She, of course, goes for the punchline: “You know what else is trickling right now? this p***y.”

As you can imagine, the crowd is erupting in cackles at this point, which may have given up Hays’ character (thanks a lot, guys), but either way Bryan stays wrapped into the conversation, too stunned to get any words out. At this point, probably playing into the act a little bit, he asks what it “smells like,” to which Hays promptly shares “Krispy Kreme….hot and ready.”

I’d like to note that Luke’s family friend, who’s forced to watch her phone be used for this raunchy conversation, looks downright mortified at this point in the show. Luckily, Hays starts to wrap up the call, letting Luke know, “You’ve done plenty for me tonight,” to which he stated, “Sounds like I’ve done enough.”

In true Luke fashion, he then asked, “Did I cancel myself tonight?” and Hays responded, “No, sir, not one bit; in fact, you revived yourself, baby.” Saving the best for last, Hays tells Luke to have a good night, and without a thought he quips back, “You too my little Krispy Kreme.”

Talk about a good sport. Safe to say, no other joke was topping that one for the rest of the night.

The internet is equally chuffed over this interaction, with people dying in the comment section (and of course, quoting the infamous “fart goes the butt” meme, that Bryan just can’t seem to escape these days). Nonetheless, September is bound to be a pretty exciting month for the 30+ No.1 hitmaker as he prepares for the release of his ninth studio album, Signs, next Friday, September 18.
